Digital Marketing Specialist (Hybrid or Remote)

As a Digital Marketing Specialist, my objective is:

To ensure all Simantel work meets the strategic and operational requirements of our clients and the agency.

This is a Hybrid or full-time Remote position. Hybrid if you live in the Central Illinois area, which requires you to be in the Peoria, IL office Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday with the option to work from home Monday and Friday.

The outcomes I need to produce for clients are:

• Clients achieve their target outcomes from their work with us
• Ensure our work meets strategic, operational, and compliance requirements of the client
• Ensure all reporting from various digital marketing platforms including websites, social, media, email campaigns, and paid advertising channels is reviewed, aggregated, and validated for accuracy prior to client receipt
• Monitor campaigns for performance and work with the Strategist and channel partners to optimize campaigns based on client goals

The outcomes I need to produce for the agency are:

• Develop measurement frameworks to track key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Define media, reporting, marketing automation, and information architecture requirements with regards to best practice and client regulations for each project
• Inform strategic recommendations through audits, inventories, tracking plans, and technical artifact development

To produce these outcomes, I need to:

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of Simantel policies, procedures, and standard workflows across all service lines
• Partner with Strategists to understand recommended approach and translate that into actionable plans
• Document requirements and ensure adherence to workflow process and dependencies
• Support content publishing
• Stay update on industry trends within digital channels including web standards (user interface standards, privacy, tracking, usability, and accessibility), paid and owned media channels, and marketing automation

The skills and abilities I require are:

• Demonstrated competency in web analytics tracking and implementation including page and event level data
• Foundational understanding of paid and owned media channels
• Experience working with diverse teams including technical team members and specialists in the following disciplines: developers, media buyers, marketing automation consultants and configuration specialist
• Attention to detail and experience managing projects with multiple interconnected steps and dependencies
• Experience developing technical and functional requirements
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role, preferably in a digital marketing or agency setting

To produce these outcomes, I have decision-making authority over the following:

• How to document requirements within the framework of our templates
• Prioritization of assigned tasks based on project deadline
• In partnership with Project Planners, defining how to tackle a project and the associated timelines

Leading indicators of my success are:

• Demonstrated understanding and application of client requirements
• Adoption of agency workflow, templates, and compliance procedures
• Independently acting as a Digital Business Analyst on assigned accounts
• Developing strong working relationships with Project Planners to support project tracking and dependency management

Long-term indicators of my success are:

• Delivering projects on deadline that meet client and agency requirements and achieve client desired outcomes
• Developing strong working relationships across service lines to support continued optimization of workflow
